Are you a man who wants to increase his sex appeal instantly, just a little? Or maybe you’re someone who has an appointment at the BunnyRanch, and you want to make sure you’re prepared for your party. Either way, I’ve compiled some tips that can help you along your journey toward a sleeker you. It’s manscaping 101!
What Is Manscaping?
If you were wondering if manscaping is in the dictionary, let me alleviate your curiosity. Yes, it is! And according to good ol’ Merriam-Webster, manscaping is the trimming or shaving of a man’s body hair to enhance his appearance. So, manscaping is not limited to facial or pubic hair—it can include any hair on your body.
There’s no body-shaming happening here, and there’s no reason to have hate, fear, or disgust for body hair in general. But the act of considering your body hair and its effect (which may be none—or positive, even!) on your partner is thoughtful. And showing this respect is sexy.

So, to begin, consider all the parts of your body that have hair. If you’re rather hairy, it may be faster to consider the places that don’t. Some men aren’t quite so hairy and may rightly decide that their body and facial hair isn’t an issue, and opt out of manscaping. For everyone else, keep reading to learn some tricks for successful manscaping.
How Do I Start a Manscaping Routine?
Let’s talk about regular places to have hair. We’ve got head, eyebrows, nose and ears, chest, back, arms, legs and groin. So let’s start at the top and work our way down, shall we?
The hair on your head can be taken care of by a barber giving you a haircut and a shave. Your hair is a pretty crucial component of your overall aesthetic, and it should be reflective of your personality. If you’ve never thought about trying something new, it may be time to start. Ridding yourself of neck hair and shaping up your facial hair can make you feel like a brand new person.

Eyebrow trimming isn’t just for the ladies. Some men may have never given much thought to the hair above their eyes, while others groom this region fastidiously. If you tend toward a unibrow, you can create a whole new look just with a quick plucking session that will magically double your eyebrows. If you’re new to plucking, grab some tweezers at the convenience store and watch a YouTube tutorial or two. Err on the subtle side by barely plucking certain areas, rather than going too dramatic right off the bat and removing too much of the brow. Remember to follow the natural curve of your brow, so you aren’t left with a permanent expression of shock. Or, leave it to a professional and treat yourself to a facial with eyebrow shaping. If your eyebrows are on the thinner side, feel free to skip this step!
Nose and ear hair happen. It comes, whether we invited it to our face party or not. And it happens with increasing regularity as we age. It can be surprising, and if you don’t spend much time in front of a mirror, you may not have realized that nose and ear hair has sprouted where none grew before. If you see this, not to worry: nose trimmers are readily available, and scissors work as well. Just be careful and go slow! Again, there are entire YouTube channels dedicated to showing you how to manscape, so give them a quick view if you’re nervous. Trim, don’t pluck, unless you are a glutton for punishment.
As for the chest, back, groin, arms, and legs, hair grows naturally in these spots for many men. Chest hair is perfectly natural, but some may want to dial it back if it begins to peek out from the top of a t-shirt. In this case, waxing or shaving will do the trick – whatever you’re more comfortable with. Back and shoulder hair are most easily taken care of at a salon, by someone who can reach without being double-jointed.
Arm and leg hair is never a problem unless you moonlight as an Olympic swimmer. Leave it, unless you don’t like it. The groin, on the other hand, is a great place to keep trimmed. It’s easier to keep clean, and no one likes getting hair in their mouth! So, keeping a monthly routine of trimming can help things look their best down there. Pro tip: don’t try to do a shape. It’s complicated, challenging to maintain, and will often draw the interest from sexual activity into curiosity.
Okay, now let’s talk slightly irregular places to have hair. If you have hair in areas that aren’t mentioned above, that doesn’t mean it needs to disappear. Consider whether or not you (or your partner) enjoy that hair. Maybe it makes a statement, or perhaps it’s a unique component of your look. If you don’t like it, feel free to get rid of it! If you do like it, keep it—you can always use it as a conversation starter.

Also, consider the transition. Let’s say you have a hairy bum, but also that the rest of your body is pretty hairy, too. Don’t trim or wax your backside and leave the rest! That could look silly. But again: I’m not here to appearance-shame anyone. So, if having a glossy, vivid, smooth-as-butter behind is what makes you feel good, then you should do as you please, and don’t apologize to anyone.
Why Should I Consider Manscaping?
Manscaping is an easy way to take care of yourself, and a cheap way to experiment with the way you look. It can make you look like you take pride in your appearance, add the visual of cleanliness, and even make you look more professional. But it’s not for everyone—some people go for the au naturel optic. However, if you’re coming for a date at the BunnyRanch, know that the ladies here do appreciate a smooth face—or at least, not a prickly one that can rub our skin raw. We find clients who take the time to clean up and trim to be ultra attractive. Though attraction and taste vary from person to person, I can verify that we all have the same type here at the ranch: neat, freshly clean, and trimmed.

All good tips… and you are amazing and sexy… always love the articles.
Interesting article. I practice it.
I shave a lot of my body hair in the summer, not for sexy times but because it’s freaking hot here in Texas and I’m cooler that way. But I do think shaving back hair and genitalia is better for sexy times and I like your post!
Great article! Lots of good advice!
Little to manscape when you keep it shaved. No one enjoys an errant hair while dining.
Great article as usual. Love the red lingerie sweetie! 💋💋
I never really concerned myself about manscaping other than a haircut and shaving my beard.
A year or so ago, I found my eczema had broken out in the groin region and I was struggling 5o get it under control. I read online somewhere that our own hair can be the trigger and tried trimming the area back.
It seemed to help but it looked like I had a case of mange, so I ended up trying waxing ( I get a professional to do it ) and now not only is the eczema very much under control the look has grown on me and it might stay this way.
The feedback has also been positive…
Thank you for sharing this story, Michael! It’s a good point that manscaping is sometimes a necessary thing, and not just an option. I’m glad you have gotten good feedback! 😉
I always keep everything clean, have been for years. I prefer that a woman be clean as well.

Manscaping is a necessity I feel. You cut/trim/shave your top hair right. Proper grooming is just hygienic. Keep it neat, keep it clean. I trim it all and dye it fun colors.
I love the dying it part! How fun!
I like to present my best. I know how I feel about body hair on a woman, so I try to extend the same in return. In order to receive I must give. That’s how I see it. Manscaping is fun. Waxing only hurts the first time and only for a lil bit.
I feel dirty and like a pale Silver Back Gorilla if i don’t do a little grooming especially before sexual activity. Could never wax, but i trim and shave the problem spots (groin, eyebrows, chest) on a regular basis.
I have a hairy chest but keep myself well shaved.
Do you wax or do your own legs Alice?
