Oral, but Make it Comfortable
Oral sex is a tricky activity to find a comfortable position for both partners, yet with some tweaks, it can be easy on your body. The first option is to have one partner standing and the other on their knees. The person standing will hopefully be comfortable, but to make it easier on the person kneeling, put a mat or thin pillow beneath their knees. Consider adding one between their knees and ankles, too, so that the angle isn’t quite so harsh.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was having people do 69 on top of each other. It will always be murder on the top partner’s neck, especially if you’re in for a tantra-like, hours-long session. Instead, try a version of 69 where you both lie on your sides, using as many pillows under your head as it takes for your neck to feel supported. And don’t forget your legs! If your legs splay open during 69, ball up some towels or blankets to cradle your legs and lower back.
Cowgirl is a feast for the eyes, but it can be difficult for the partner on top if they have hip flexibility or knee issues. If that posture hurts, you could use a sex swing with a squatting attachment to take the pressure off your knees and hips. A sex swing could also help with another lady-on-top position where the penetrator sits cross-legged and the other partner sits on top of him, with their legs wrapped around his body. Instead of having to rely on strength and endurance, springs can help do the work.
Another option is to have the partner lying down prop their knees up. This position adjustment can help support your partner’s weight while pressing them closer to you. Two thumbs up for intimacy and sparing the top partner’s thighs!
Doggy style is fun, but you can turn up the pleasure with some minor tweaks. Instead of staying on their hands, you can deepen the angle by resting the penetrated partner’s head on a pillow. This adjustment makes penetration feel more intense, regardless of the size of the penetrator. If you want more spinal support, some sex furniture can come in handy. Anything that supports the torso of the penetrated partner will prevent that awful feeling of spinal compression, which is the exact opposite of a turn-on. If you don’t have any sex furniture, several pillows will work as well.
Spooning gets bonus points right off the bat for being just about as comfortable as it gets: both people are lying down on their sides facing the same direction. What you lack in a view, you more than make up for with tactile sensations. Since no one is using their hands to support their weight, this frees them up for self- or partner-exploration.
Better yet, this is an excellent position to try some sex toys. The penetrating partner could easily use an anal toy like a butt plug since they won’t be squatting or in a posture that would make it likely to fall out. And, since no one is in front of the penetrating partner, it’s an excellent position for them to use a vibrator or a sleeve to amp up the sensation.
Elevating Any Sex Position
What feels good to you is unique. So if you already have a handful of your favorite sex positions that you don’t plan on deviating from, that’s perfectly okay. You may still be able to make them feel better and hotter by implementing a few tweaks.
Grab as many pillows as it takes. Having one under your head or neck, plus more to prop you up, can make a huge difference. Having a few sturdier pillows (like couch cushions) under your hips can completely transform the angle of penetration. Add one at a time so that you know which combination hits you at the best spot. For instance, missionary position can suddenly become scorching with a few pillows placed under the penetrated partner’s backside. It feels deeper, and you can adjust the cushions to make the G spot more easily accessible.
With the above tips, you’ll have comfier and hotter sex in no time!
